The fifth and latest season of HGTV’s Brother vs. Brother: Jonathan vs. Drew scored big with audiences, and the Scott brothers are poised to do battle once again in the recently announced sixth season. This time, they’re bringing their real estate and renovation A-game to the Bay Area.
Following the same winning formula as previous instalments of the show, season six will pit real estate wiz Drew and contractor Jonathan against each other in a six-week contest in which they each buy, remodel and resell a property, while also participating in weekly challenges, judged by a rotating panel of celebrity guests.
Whoever pulls off the more profitable flip is awarded with major bragging rights, but that’s not all that’s at stake. As before, all proceeds from the final property sales are returned to the host communities through the non-profit organisation Rebuilding Together, which promotes affordable home-ownership and neighbourhood revitalisation projects.
The upcoming season is set to debut in May 2018 and is currently in production in the outskirts of San Francisco – a city now known as much for its competitive housing market as its tech innovations.
