After being imprisoned for
a bank robbery they didn’t commit, unemployed film writer Skip Donahue (Gene
Wilder) and actor Harry Monroe (Richard Pryor) rack their brains to figure out
an escape plan.
Fortuitously, one of them discovers an unexpected talent as a rodeo rider, and an escape plan begins to take shape at the annual prisoners’ rodeo. Stir Crazy (Sunday 16th, 9pm) reunited Wilder and Pryor, who had appeared previously in the 1976 comedy thriller film Silver Streak.
