Using whatever means she can to break into the business, we follow her from the New York City Vaudeville stage all the way to stardom on Broadway.
When Fanny’s talents eventually come to the attention of impresario Florenz Ziegfeld Jr., Fanny becomes one of the Ziegfeld Follies most popular acts, despite her maverick performance style. In her personal life, Fanny’s relationship with her suave, imprisoned businessman husband, Nick Arnstein, is equally as drama-filled.
