SYFY DOCUMENTARY MARKS 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF IMAGE COMICS

Friday, November 24th, 2017

A quarter of a century ago, some of Marvel’s most popular artists – including ‘Deadpool’ co-creator Rob Liefeld – made a bold decision to go it alone and start a new comics company where they could own the characters they created. Now, new SYFY project ‘The History of Image Comics’ brings the story of that momentous decision to the screen. Featuring interviews with founders including Jim Lee and Spawn creator Todd McFarlane, the documentary follows the new company’s early success and subsequent trials, before moving on to its current imperial phase in which current series such as ‘The Walking Dead’ and ‘Outcast’ have grown into multimedia behemoths. And of course, the story is far from over – many more adaptations are already in the works, including SYFY’s own forthcoming ‘Deadly Class’.

What the industry says about US

Discovery Networks

„Discovery Networks” lūdza „Global Listings” izveidot jaunu rentablu sistēmu, kas ļautu medijiem Lielbritānijā un Eiropas, Vidējo Austrumu un Āfrikas valstīs ātri saņemt programmu sarakstus un anotācijas (gan angliski, gan tulkotas citās valodās); mēs esam ļoti apmierināti ar šī uzņēmuma darbu.

TIME INC, UK
