Syfy and USA Network’s forthcoming Purge series has just added one of the Baldwin clan to its cast. William, previously seen in everything from Flatliners and Backdraft to the new MacGyver series, joins Amanda Warren (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri), Colin Woodell (Designated Survivor) and Gabriel Chavarria (War for the Planet of the Apes) in the show, which will be overseen by Purge creator James DeMonaco. Like his films of the same name, it envisages a near future where for one cathartic night each year, all crime is legal. However, the storyline of the show will not directly intersect with those of the films.
