‘BUFFY’ FANS REJOICE: SYFY UK TO RE-AIR SEASON ONE OF ICONIC SHOW IN ONE WEEKEND

Syfy UK will be showing a Buffy the Vampire Slayer season one marathon over the 7th and 8th of July, with back-to-back episodes from 1-5pm.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer stars Sarah Michelle Gellar as Buffy Summers – high school student by day, vampire slayer by night, in Joss Whedon’s ingenious, Emmy-winning supernatural drama.

Using elements of science fiction and fantasy as metaphors for the adolescent and young adult experience, Whedon and his team of writers created a classic television show that has stood the test of time. Buffy remains popular to this day, with an 80% critic approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 91% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

In season one, Buffy and her mother move to Sunnydale, with no idea that anything is amiss in the seemingly idyllic town. Desperate to leave her troubled past behind, Buffy befriends social outcasts Willow Rosenberg (Alyson Hannigan) and Xander Harris (Nicholas Brendon). But she cannot avoid her destiny forever…
