GAEL GARCÍA BERNAL’S LATIN AMERICAN POLITICAL THRILLER RENEWED FOR SECOND SEASON

Fox Networks Group Latin America has announced the renewal of political thriller Aqui en la tierra (Here on Earth) for a second season.

The series follows the crimes and corruption of one of Mexico’s most influential families and was co-created by star Gael García Bernal (The Motorcycle Diaries) and Kyzza Terrazas. It’s produced by Fox Networks Group Latin America and García Bernal and Diego Luna’s new production label, La Corriente del Golfo.

Along with García Bernal, Here on Earth stars Daniel Giménez-Cacho as Governor Mario Rocha, Ariadna Gil as the Governor’s wife, Alfonso Dorsal as his step-son, and Tenoch Huerta as an ambitious security officer eager to climb the social ladder. The series immerses the viewer in a world of luxury where blackmail and murder are commonplace.

Season 2 is now casting, but will once again co-star García Bernal, who will also direct an episode.
