BUSY PHILLIPS SET TO LAUNCH TALK SHOW ON E! ENTERTAINMENT

Friday, July 6th, 2018

Popular comedic actress Busy Phillips (Dawson’s Creek, Cougar Town) is set to launch an innovative new talk show on E! this autumn, announced the network.

Known for her popular Instagram account, comedic roles alongside Courtney Cox (Cougar Town) and Amy Schumer (I Feel Pretty), and her close friendship with fellow Dawson’s Creek co-star Michelle Williams, Busy Phillips is a favourite amongst fans.

The new talk show (working title Busy Tonight) will come close on the heels of the launch of Phillips’ newest project, her book This Will Only Hurt a Little, set to be released in October 2018.

The book, a collection of humorous autobiographical essays from the star, is expected to cover topics from Phillips’ wild teen years, to her life as a working actress, mum and her famous best friend.

“I’ll tell you a line that’s in my book right now,” Phillips teased on her Instagram account, “Michelle is a very easy person to fall in love with. Anyone who really knows her will tell you that. And probably anyone who barely knows her would say that, too.”

The new talk show will be a unique take on the late-night landscape. “Our goal is to do more of a typical entertainment, pop culture-type show”, Phillips told The Hollywood Reporter.
