“Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross are ready to share their love story with the world!” E! Entertainment announced recently. The new documentary series Ashlee & Evan (working title) is slated to come to the network this autumn.

The series follows singer Ashlee Simpson and her husband Evan Ross, son of music legend Diana Ross, as they balance their lives as rock stars and new parents alongside the pressures of living up to their infamous family names.

“You don’t really know about us”, Simpson said to E! News at a fashion launch. “Get to know us”!

“We have something to share,” Ross added. “Right now, there’s not a lot of young people talking about love. There’s not always perfection all the time, but the truth of it is, it’s all built out of love”.

Simpson and Ross, both musicians, had known each other for ten years before they began dating. The couple were married in August 2014, and welcomed baby girl Jagger Snow in July 2015, Simpson’s second child.

The series will allegedly involve new music from the duo, as well as an inside look at their family life.

“Creating our music, creating ideas together”, Ross said. “Building things as a family, it’s something that I feel is special”.
