Universal Cable Productions to adapt Image Comics’ “Ice Cream Man”

Friday, October 5th, 2018

Following on from their successful adaptation of Image Comics’ warped Christmas story Happy!, Universal Cable Productions have announced they are to turn another of the publisher’s books into a TV series.

Written by W. Maxwell Prince, with art by Martin Morazzo and Chris O’Halloran, Ice Cream Man is an off-kilter anthology which delves into the strangeness behind suburban facades and the weird events which upend everyday lives. The stories are linked by the presence of the enigmatic title figure, whose cones seem to come with a little something extra.

Writers Max and Adam Reid, who have previously worked on Sneaky Pete, will be scripting the adaptation. They’re also executive producers, as are Good Fear Films’ Chris Bender, Jake Weiner, and Jake Wagner.
