Penned by Arthur Miller, directed by John Huston and starring Clark Gable, Marilyn Monroe and Montgomery Clift, The Misfits (Monday 10th, 9pm) turned out to be the last completed film for both Gable and Monroe.
While filing for a divorce, beautiful ex-stripper Roslyn Taber (Monroe) ends up meeting aging cowboy-turned-gambler Gay Langland (Gable) and former World War II aviator Guido Racanelli (Eli Wallach). The two men instantly become infatuated with Roslyn and, on a whim, the three decide to move into Guido’s half-finished desert home together. When grizzled ex-rodeo rider Perce Howland (Clift) arrives, the unlikely foursome start-up a business capturing wild horses.
