The Mouse On The Moon (Sony Movies Action Friday 4 December at 11.35am) is a delightful classic 60s British comedy with an all-star cast including Margaret Rutherford, Ron Moody, Bernard Cribbins, Terry-Thomas and John Le Mesurier.
When the tiny nation of Grand Fenwick suffers a plumbing problem, the prime minister decides to use the competitive nature of the space race to his advantage. He requests financial aid for space research from the US, and then uses the capital to heat his bathwater!
Meanwhile, the nation’s lone scientist toils to prepare a fake rocket for launch, fuelled by the country’s most famous export: wine! It’s a great satire with plenty of laugh-out-loud moments.
