GO WILD FOR WORLD ANIMAL DAY

Monday, September 27th, 2021

4th October is WORLD ANIMAL DAY and National Geographic Wild is on the road with photographer Joel Sartore in Brazil and Indonesia as he photographs at-risk species to inspire people to save them. Whether he’s using a walk-in shower to photograph a giant armadillo, diving underwater with an Amazonian manatee, or hiking at ~12,000 feet in the Colorado Rockies for an American pika, Joel will do whatever it takes to get a good photograph.

The animals are definitely worth the effort:  kangaroos that live in trees, 5-foot tall cassowary birds, and Kanzi the ‘speaking’ bonobo all make appearances. Expect all-day programming of the most amazing animals along with the UK premiere of PHOTO ARK: LOOK THEM IN THE EYE on Monday 4th at 8pm.
