Differing from the tale usually told, in this version of King Arthur the hero battling to rule the island is a Roman cavalry officer, known as Artorius Castus, who commands a cavalry unit in Britain at the close of the Roman occupation in 410AD.

During his time guarding Hadrian’s Wall against the Woads, Arthur meets the elusive Guinevere and Merlin – taking us back to the origins of the legend of Excalibur and the Knights of the Round Table in this earthy, bloody adventure.
