The recent season finale of Fox’s Lucifer may turn out to be the last ever episode, leaving unanswered questions for the show’s fans.

Spoilers ahead: the season ended with Chloe (Lauren German) finally learning the truth about Lucifer (Tom Ellis). Unless the show is picked up elsewhere, we may never know how she’ll react.

Fox also cancelled The Exorcist, The Mick, Last Man on Earth and Brooklyn Nine-Nine, although the latter was scooped up by NBC the next day.

The fans of the series have already begun an online campaign in the hope that some other network or streaming service will be paying attention to the millions of tweets dedicated to saving the show.
