Freelancer FAQ – Working with Global Listings
Global Listings works with a global network of freelance translators, proofreaders, and localisation specialists supporting international broadcasters, platforms, and content owners.
Is Global Listings a legitimate company?
Yes. Global Listings is an established international media services company founded in 2002, specialising in TV metadata, EPGs, localisation, and content delivery for broadcasters and platforms worldwide.
I passed the test. Why haven’t I received work yet?
Passing the test means you are approved for inclusion in our freelance pool. It does not guarantee immediate work. Allocation depends on client demand, language pair needs, subject matter, client budgets and timing.
Does Global Listings only work with low-rate translators?
No. We operate client-specific rate bands. Rates do not affect approval and are used solely to match projects to appropriate profiles.
How does work allocation happen?
Projects are matched based on expertise, client rate band, availability, and deadlines.
Can I be removed for inactivity?
No. There is no penalty for inactivity unless quality or conduct standards are breached.
What type of work is offered?
Programme synopses, EPG metadata, VOD metadata, localisation, proofreading, and QA.
