FX Renews Atlanta, Dramatises Lewinsky

Friday, August 9th, 2019

John Landgraf, Chairman of FX Productions and FX Networks, had a number of exciting announcements at the US Television Critics Association summer press event.

Donald Glover’s much-lauded comedy-drama Atlanta has yet to begin production of its third season, but has already been confirmed for a fourth. Meanwhile, the next season of American Crime Story will be called Impeachment, and follow the sex scandals that dogged Bill Clinton’s presidency. Paula Jones (played by Annaleigh Ashford), Monica Lewinsky (Beanie Feldstein), and Linda Tripp (Sarah Paulson) will be among the lead characters, with the real Lewinsky also serving as a producer.

Additionally, production was confirmed to be underway on comics adaptation Y: The Last Man, following the lone survivor of a mysterious event which kills every other male on Earth.
