The new docuseries The Men Who Built America: Frontiersmen is set to take viewers deep into the heart of the American past over four two-hour episodes exploring the early days of American expansion.

From the Revolution through the California gold rush, the series spans the first 75 tumultuous years of the United States. A combination of dramatizations and interviews with experts and survivalists form the backbone of the programme which looks at the lives of adventurous trailblazers such as Davy Crockett and Lewis and Clark.

Frontiersmen is executive produced by Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Davisson, and Stephen David, and launches on HISTORY UK on Tuesday 20 March at 9pm BST.
