New production ‘Legendary Locations’, recently greenlit by Travel Channel, is set to star adventurer and ‘Expedition Unknown’ host Josh Gates.

The 13-episode series will see Gates exploring breath-taking locations around the globe as he delves into the legends and folklore that made them famous.

“’Expedition Unknown’ has been a strong performer for Travel Channel,” said Courtney White, senior vice president of programming for Scripps’ Travel Channel, Food Network and Cooking Channel.

“Our viewers are clear that they want even more of Josh’s proven passion for adventure, history and exploration. This full season order of ‘Legendary Locations’ delivers that in a thrilling new format.”

The series is set to premiere in 2018 on Travel Channel.
