ZACHARY QUINTO GOES IN SEARCH OF THE UNEXPLAINED ON HISTORY

Friday, February 2nd, 2018

HISTORY has greenlit a new unscripted series In Search Of, to be hosted and executive produced by Zachary Quinto (Star Trek, Snowden).

The ten part series, inspired by the original 1970s show of the same name, will examine unexplained phenomena from around the globe, including UFO sightings and other paranormal mysteries.

“I am so excited to be reimagining In Search Of and exploring new questions and phenomena with all of the advancements in science and technology from which we have benefitted in the past forty years since the original series first aired,” said Quinto.

“In the spirit of my late dear friend Leonard Nimoy, we intend to honour and perpetuate his endless curiosity about the world – and universe – in which we live.”

Quinto plays Spock, a role famously played by Leonard Nimoy, in the J.J. Abrams reboot of the Star Trek franchise. Each episode of In Search Of, also formerly hosted by Nimoy, will follow Quinto as he investigates a different paranormal mystery, such as alien encounters, time travel and artificial intelligence.

“With Zachary’s passion and prevalence in the science fiction genre,” said Eli Lehrer, Executive Vice President of Programming at HISTORY, “the ground-breaking series is back for a new audience.”
