Journey to Zambia’s Luangwa Valley, a landscape abundant with prey. In the spectacular wilderness, two neighbouring lion prides lay claim to prime hunting territory. The mighty MKs and the Hollywood lionesses must find mates to ensure their future. When the Nomads, a group of rampaging young males, invade their land in search of new territory, these two prides are in for the fight of their lives.

In BIG CAT COUNTRY (Wednesday 18th, 5pm), wildlife filmmakers Nathan Pilcher and Sam Davies follow the lions, night and day, to bring us every twist and turn of what turns out to be a tumultuous year for pride politics. Nathan and Sam capture remarkable behaviour, including night-time predation using the Selex thermal imaging, night-vision camera. They are also on-camera hosts – letting us into their world and sharing the excitement and frustrations of living in the bush.

What the industry says about US

The Global Listings press schedules are very good. Especially as we have very little space in the TV Guide sections, these are still very useful to us. In addition, the Global Listings TV highlights documents and press reports are also a great way for us to make choices of what TV programmes to feature.

TT Spektra, Sweden

We use both the Global Listings press schedules (in Word) and their XML files. The programme descriptions are rather good and not too long, which is helpful. We use their text verbatim and import it direct into our database.
