Big Cat Weekend is back, and to celebrate its launch, Nat Geo Wild have a whole host of feline-friendly content for viewers to sink their teeth into, starting with THE LION PRIDE NEXT DOOR (Saturday 11th, 7pm).
In Gir National Park, India, a first-time lioness mother adds to the strength of her pride with her newborn. Writing her own rules, she will do whatever it takes to raise her only cub. In her journey, viewers witness her teaching him to find food in a harsh and unforgiving wilderness, playing dangerous games with roaming males and even visiting a nearby town to hunt. Only once he has learnt can he claim his territory and fulfil his destiny within the pride.
