Brooklyn Nine-Nine Cancelled By Fox, Picked Up By NBC

Friday, May 18th, 2018

Plenty of cancelled shows have eventually made comebacks, sometimes on new channels. But few have had quite such a short period in the wilderness as NYC cop comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine, starring Andy Samberg, Andre Braugher and Stephanie Beatriz.

Cancelled by Fox on May 10th, with the channel saying they couldn’t find it a suitable spot in their schedule, the show spent all of 31 hours as the subject of outraged Internet demands for a comeback – a chorus including celebrity fans such as Lin-Manuel Miranda, Mark Hamill and Guillermo del Toro.
