CAST OF NEW E! SHOW ‘THE BI LIFE’ ANNOUNCED

Friday, October 12th, 2018

The cast for the new E! Entertainment dating show, The Bi Life, has been announced. The series, hosted by Courtney Act (the drag queen alias of Celebrity Big Brother winner Shane Jenek), will see nine British singles travelling to Barcelona in search of true love.

Where this series differs from the standard dating format, however, is in its cast: the group are all bisexual, pansexual, gender fluid and/or questioning.

“It’s high time there was a dating show for the large number of young people today, like me, who are attracted to more than one gender,” said Courtney.

“In 2018, we know that sexuality is fluid, and sharing the stories and experiences, the laughter and the love-making of young bi people is so important.”

NBCUniversal Managing Director Lee Raftery called the show a pivotal point for E! Entertainment in the UK, calling the series “a fresh take on the full diversity of modern British relationships.”

“With the number of British people identifying themselves as bisexual rising by 73% in four years, we are incredibly excited to be introducing this pioneering series to our audiences,” said Raftery.

The cast comprises Carmen Clarke, 21, from Manchester; Daisie Thilwind, 26, from Manchester; Irene Ellis, 23, from London; Kyle McGovern, 23, from South Wales; Leonnie Cavill, 27, from Manchester; Mariella Amodeo, 33, from London; Matt Brindley, 27, from Chester; Michael Gunning, 24, from Manchester; and Ryan Cleary, 27, from London.

The Bi Life premieres on E! UK on Thursday, 25 October at 9pm
