Decoded By Thalia™ is back!

Decoded by Thalia™ is back — and this season I’m decoding the most underestimated 200 words in television: the programme synopsis.

Not the trailer. Not the artwork. The synopsis — those few lines of text that quietly decide whether your show is found, clicked and watched… or scrolled past forever.

For years, the synopsis was treated as back-office admin. A box to fill in. I’ve spent over two decades proving the opposite: it’s the first conversation your content ever has with an audience — and with the algorithm that serves them.

Over the next month I’ll decode how the right words — structured the right way, in the right language — turn invisible titles into appointment viewing across linear, VOD, SVOD and FAST.

Welcome to The Synopsis Series. Let’s decode why your best show is only ever as discoverable as the words that describe it.
