New series Jesus: His Life premieres across the History Channel this month, and will air in South East Asia in time for Easter celebrations.

Promising a new portrayal of Christianity’s Messiah, the eight-part series focuses on important individuals who shaped and influenced Jesus throughout his life and mission. Each episode is told from a unique perspective, in what A+E Networks describe as a ‘part drama, part documentary’ style, creating an ‘epic retelling’ of the life of Jesus Christ.

For the first time, the views of Caiaphas, John the Baptist and Mary Magdalene (among others), are woven together with respected Biblical scholars and historians – offering both cultural context and intense drama.

Jesus: His Life airs on Easter weekend from the 17th of April on History Channel South East Asia.
