FX has confirmed that it will be renewing biker gang drama Mayans MC for a third series, with co-creator Elgin James now sole showrunner. This follows the departure of Kurt Sutter, who co-created Mayans and ran the show from which it spun off, Sons of Anarchy.

Fox 21 TV Studios president Bert Salke said, “Keeping this vibrant series strong is a huge priority to everyone at Fox 21 Television Studios, FX Productions and of course FX, which has been a spectacular home and platform for both Mayans M.C. and Sons before it.”
