The channel premiere of the gripping thriller Martha Marcy May Marlene is written and directed by Sean Durkin and stars Elizabeth Olsen, John Hawkes, Sarah Paulson, and Hugh Dancy.

Martha (Olsen) runs away from an abusive cult in the Catskill Mountains where she had been living as Marcy May for two years. Martha turns to her sister Lucy (Sarah Paulson), who along with her husband Ted (Hugh Dancy), offers to take her in. During her stay with them, Martha seems unfocused about what she will do with her life and struggles to re assimilate. Martha starts to spiral, struggling to separate her dreams from reality and dealing with the haunting memories of her past uncontrollably resurfacing.

Lucy and Ted soon realise that she may need more help than anyone is able to give her and consider that Martha could be a risk to not only themselves but to herself.

Olsen is electrifying in her first feature film debut.
