Simon Templar is a modern-day Robin Hood, stealing from the rich, though he keeps most of the loot to himself. He is charming, suave, elegant and always one step ahead of Inspector Teal. The Saint (Ian Ogilvy) is asked by the CIA to go undercover to prevent the assassination of oil sheik Kemal by an international gang of killers. Templar travels to Rome, where he meets the beautiful yet deadly Laura.
