The scariest time of the year is nearly upon us and GREAT! movies has some classic horror films for fans to cozy up to in the safety of their own home!

The horror classic, The Evil Dead, is directed by Sam Raimi in his feature directorial debut.

Five young friends have found the mysterious and fiercely powerful Book of the Dead deep within the rural woods of Tennessee.

As they search for more supernatural artifacts in a bid to uncover an explanation of the book, they come across an antiquated tape recorder which does exactly that.

However, in playing the recordings, they unwittingly resurrect flesh- possessing demons.

As the demons embark on a bloodthirsty quest to bedevil them all, who will be left to fight for their survival and defeat this unearthly force?
