HISTORY TO REMEMBER 9/11 WITH NEW DOCUMENTARY

Friday, September 7th, 2018

Nearly two decades after the fateful day in September that changed America forever, HISTORY will commemorate the events of 9/11 with new two-hour documentary 9/11: Escape From the Towers.

The documentary recounts the tragedy of 11 September from the unique perspective of the survivors who were below the impact zone in the twin towers of the World Trade Center when the planes hit.

With never-before-told stories, 9/11: Escape From the Towers gives viewers an idea of what it was like to be inside the buildings on that tragic day, and to struggle to make it to safety.

9/11: Escape From the Towers is part of HISTORY’s ‘HISTORY 100’ documentary series, covering some of the most compelling historical events of the last 100 years. It premieres on HISTORY in the US on 11 September, with the UK release on 17 September at 9pm.

HISTORY UK will remember the event with several programmes this month, including Days That Shaped America: September 11th on 10 September at 9pm, I Survived 9/11 on 10 September at 9pm, and 102 Minutes That Changed America: 15th Anniversary on 17 September at 11pm.
