Hostile Planet sees Nat Geo join new wave of nature programming

Monday, April 8th, 2019

In recent years, there’s been an increasingly heated debate about the degree to which the natural world is being changed by human activity. Now Nat Geo are joining in with their new series Hostile Planet.

Hosted by Bear Grylls, and with cinematography from frequent Guillermo del Toro collaborator Guillermo Navarro, it looks at how animals survive in some of Earth’s harshest environments, such as tundra, deserts and deep oceans. But rather than looking only at the natural difficulties, it will also admit the way that climate change and pollution pose problems for the creatures with which we share the planet.

Hostile Planet starts on 28 April 2019 on Nat Geo.
