THE BEATLES: MADE ON MERSEYSIDE (PBS Friday 21 January 8.05PM) traces the incredible career of Liverpool’s most famous sons, following them from school bands to Hamburg andThe Cavern Club, as they took their roots in skiffle and rock’n’roll and went on to create a new sound that would shake the world.

Featuring newly filmed contributions from ‘fifthBeatle’ Pete Best, and those who were there, take a fresh look at one of the 20th century’s most amazing phenomena – The Beatles.
