The stunning film noir DOUBLE INDEMNITY airs at 6.45pm on Tuesday 25th. Directed by Billy Wilder, it was nominated for seven Oscars. ​Adapted from the James M Cain novel, Wilder teamed up with thriller writer Raymond Chandler to create the screenplay.​

Insurance salesman Walter Neff (Fred MacMurray) gets roped into a murderous scheme when he falls for the sensual Phyllis Dietrichson (Barbara Stanwyck), who is intent on killing her husband and living off the fraudulent accidental death claim.​ But the late Mr. Dietrichson’s daughter, Lola, urges insurance investigator Barton Keyes (Edward G. Robinson) to look into the case, and he gradually uncovers the sinister truth.
