PBS America explores impact of border walls with new series The Wall

Monday, April 1st, 2019

“Build a wall!” has become a familiar refrain in American politics. This week, PBS America delves into the history of border walls and their impact on neighbouring communities with six-part documentary series The Wall.

In part one, The Wall goes right to the heart of the border debate in America with a 2,000 mile journey along the US-Mexico border to meet families torn apart by the existing fences.

Other episodes will take viewers into divided territories in Cyprus, Berlin, Northern Ireland, Korea and along the hotly contested Israeli-Palestinian border.

Discover the powerful human stories and communities behind these walls, whether they support them or fight to tear them down.

The Wall premieres weeknights from Monday 1 April at 9pm on PBS America. PBS America airs in the UK on Freeview 91, Freesat 155, Virgin Media 276 and Sky 174.
