Following THE STANLEYS AND THE NEUMANNS, this documentary showcases the personal and systemic challenges threatening their stability. As they face job loss and housing insecurity, their resilience highlights that hard work doesn’t guarantee success. The film challenges viewers to rethink the myth of meritocracy and its impact on marginalised communities.

Filmed over more than 30 years, TWO AMERICAN FAMILIES is a poignant documentary that reflects on the American experience by illuminating the harsh realities that many families face, inviting the viewer to reconsider their understanding of success.
