During the height of the Great Depression, Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow became nationally known bank robbers and murders, due to the discovery of several provocative pic- tures of the couple that caught the public’s imagination. AMERICAN EXPERIENCE takes view- ers inside the story of Bonnie and Clyde’s rise to notoriety, through their two-year crime spree, and to their eventual demise on a Louisiana roadside on May 23, 1934.

Told through interviews with cultural historians and descendants of the outlaws and their cap- tors, BONNIE & CLYDE tells the fascinating true story of the most famous outlaw couple in US history.
