Syfy have ordered a pilot based on the Dark Horse comic Resident Alien, in which a stranded alien hides out as a small town doctor, yet finds himself drawn into using his abilities to solve crimes. It’s the creation of writer Peter Hogan and artist Steve Parkhouse, both of whom are comics industry veterans whose past work includes collaborations with Alan Moore.
The adaptation will be headed by former Family Guy writer Chris Sheridan. Mike Richardson (Hellboy) and Keith Goldberg (The Legend of Tarzan) will executive produce, along with Steven Spielberg’s Amblin TV.
