Using the 2022 sequel Black Panther: Wakanda Forever as a peg, Smithsonian invite viewers on a fantastic voyage that celebrates this branch of African-American life in AFROFUTURISM: THE ORIGIN STORY (Thursday 10th, 9pm).
Beyond the aesthetic of cool clothes, trippy visuals, and Black protagonists in space, they examine an art form that was celebrated a century before it was even named in 1994.
