It didn’t get any hotter than the summer of ‘77 in New York City. As temperatures soared it made everybody a little tense and crazy. Looters took hold of the streets, and as a blackout plunged the city into darkness a mysterious killer began stalking and gunning down strangers in the night. Dubbed ‘Son of Sam’ by the tabloids, the killer terrorised the whole city.
Filmmaker Spike Lee sets his story Summer Of Sam (Saturday 18th, 9pm) in the heart of the boiling Bronx during this unbelievable summer, and John Leguizamo, Adrien Brody, Mira Sorvino and Jennifer Esposito star.
