Peter Sellers stars in three roles in The Mouse That Roared, (Saturday 31st, 1.05pm) a hilarious war satire about the Duchy of Grand Fenwick, who inadvertently stumble across a weapon that could destroy the Earth. The scheming Prime Minister (Sellers), plots with the Grand Duchess (Sellers), to declare war on the USA, lose the war and get that foreign aid.
Unfortunately, they forget to tell Tully Bascombe, commander of their medieval army (Sellers again). Through a series of unbelievable circumstances, this man does his best and wins the war, much to the Duchy’s dismay. Roles not taken by Sellers include appearances for Jean Seberg and William Hartnell.
