RUSSIA TODAY PREPARES FOR FRENCH LANGUAGE CHANNEL

Tuesday, February 14th, 2017

Global news network Russia Today is set to further expand its media presence as it prepares to launch a French-language channel.

Calls have been made for French-speaking staff to start working at the station immediately as applicants are required to handle the network’s famously pressurised environment and report upon the daily influx of global news.

The decision follows RT en Français – one of the network’s six language-specific websites – enjoying a huge growth, with online readership doubling within a year. A revitalised website will be launched in conjunction with the channel to spread the net of RT’s news coverage and showcase local talent.
